Midway, Utah Trip

Mike's parents got us a condo in Midway for Sunday night, June 19 - Thursday June 23rd. Even though it is only 1/2 hour away from our house we were all really excited to just relax for a week and hang out together as a family.

On Monday, we just relaxed and hung around our condo. We went and looked at the Crater at the Homestead in Midway that was right across from us and we walked around. For dinner we went to Heber and went to Dairy Keen. This is the coolest little fast food restaurant. It is all about trains!

They had train tables and legos for the kids to play with while you waited for your food. They also had a Harry Potter Train that if you put a quarter in it would go to Hogwarts. There was also a list of items to find in there that was fun for us and the kids to find.

Aren't these the coolest pop machines you have ever seen. I don't know why they don't have these in all the fast food places. It is all computerized and they had every kind of lemonade you could think of and different flavors of pepsi and coke.

They of course had a train going around the restaurant

We actually waited quite awhile for our food and saw many people come in after us and get their food first. Finally a lady came out and apologized to us and gave us our food and our money back. I guess their was a mess up with our order. We didn't mind getting our money back :)

Out side the restaurant they had a train that you could sit on to eat so of course that is where Joey wanted to eat :) It was a little small but fun!

After we ate we went to the park across the road and played for a little while to work off what we just ate.

We then went back to the condo and went swimming. I wish I got a picture of Emma. She looked so cute in her princess swimsuit with princess water wings, a inner tube and princess goggles! :)

Tuesday: Park City

On Tuesday, we woke up early and headed to Park City. We went to the Kimball Junction area. We ate breakfast at the Hungry Miner Breakfast Bucket. Holy Cow this place gives you a ton of food! Me and the kids could have shared one meal and we would have if I didn't have a coupon there. I recommend this place to anyone who is near the factory outlets. I ordered the half stack of the pancake parfait. I wish I had taken a picture..this thing was huge and it was the smaller version. It was a 8 grain pancake with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, granola and yogurt on top and then another pancake and the same stuff on top. It was so yummy! What is cool is that this restaurant is in the Best Western and if you stay there then you get their breakfast buffet for free!

After breakfast we went to the factory outlets. We shopped there for a little while. We got Mike some new sketchers and me some new pajamas and a few shirts. Gotta love coupons!

We let the kids pick a toy to ride on

We then went to J.W. Allens Toy Store that was in a little shopping center down the street from the factory outlets. We let the kids each have 10.00 dollars to pick something out. Emma got a little figurine of a flying horse and a giraffe. Joey got a cool jet.

Here they are showing off their new toys.

I decided to take a few photos of them :)

Too bad the sun was in their eyes!

We then ate at Good Thymes Bistro!

It was so nice that we ate outside

The kids menus came with Wikki Stix..the kids had fun building things with them.

Emma and her person

And sadly, I don't remember what Joey built :(

They had the coolest chandeliers. They were made from forks and spoons

After lunch we were going to go to the nature exhibit but it was closed. So we walked around a bit, went to best buy and got a few of the Harry Potter movies to catch up, and then headed back to the car.

Joey and Emma loved to get piggy back rides from daddy. I think it is so funny when he gives them one at the same time :) So many people just laugh as they go by and it catches a lot of people off guard :)

Mike noticed how all the posts had rocks sticking out like you could climb them so of course him and Joey had to try :)

We had a lot of fun in Park City. It was such a beautiful day! That night we made smores at the condo and watched movies!
