Gingerbread House

We have a tradition in our house that every year we make a gingerbread house. We normally make two. Me and Mike will each take a kid and we will do one together. Our houses have never stayed up well or for very long. This year I searched for a better recipe and frosting. Mike also did not want to do the traditional house either, so he designed a mansion.

We succeeded in all accounts. We made a pretty cool house!

I found a blog post called How to Make a Successful Gingerbread house 101. It was very helpful!

First you want to make your dough and then let the house pieces cool completely before assembling. Then after assembled, you want to wait a day before decorating it. Me and Mike put the house together Sunday night after the kids went to bed so that we could decorate it for FHE the next day.
