Summer Fun

We have been trying to get the most out of our last few weeks of summer. August has been a pretty fun month. The best part is that our house is finally almost complete. We just have a few more items to buy! Yea!

We bought a new bike for Emma. She graduated from her 12 inch bike and got a 16 inch without training wheels.

Here she is ready to try this no training wheel thing

After a few wobbly starts

She was off! It only took her about 5 min of me holding onto the back of her bike before she got it. She is such a fast learner!

I love how she sticks her tongue out when she is concentrating :)

Joey also finally conquered the no training wheels thing. He has been so afraid to do it. We even put on just one training wheel to see if he could get the balancing thing down but no such luck. It only took watching his sister do it for him to realize he could to. He just got right on the bike and took off :)

We thought this needed some celebration so we went to a yummy ice cream place we have near our house.

Me and Mike recently bought ourselves bikes. It has been a lot of fun. For a family home evening, we all rode around our lake and neighborhood. It is so beautiful! Me and the kids have also rode to a gas station and got some treats. The kids have really enjoyed their bikes!

Our sky has been a little crazy here the past week. We have had a fire in Northern Utah causing our clouds to turn brown and our sun and moon red.

My mom has visited a few times and we have enjoyed her hanging out with us. One day we went for lunch at this fun sandwich shop called Firehouse Subs. It was started by fireman so they have the whole restaurant decked out in fireman gear. The kids sure liked it. Their kids meals even came with a fireman hat.

Joey really likes pirouettes. He and Mike started calling them Turkish delight and Joey would get one on special occasions. Well Mike gave him a whole can of some saying he could eat one a day. The next day I fould Buzz and Woody like this trying to get to that black can of yummy goodness :)

And here is just a cute picture of Emma. We found this random bag and didn't know what it belonged to. Emma thought it looked like a chef hat :)
