4th of July

The weekend of the 4th of July, we stayed at my mom's house because my sister, Michele, and her family were here and we wanted to spend as much time as possible with them.

The morning of the 4th of July, I made red, white, and blue muffins. It had blueberries, cranberries, and a white glaze over it. They were so yummy!

We then got ready for the day.

Joey and Emma in their 4th of July clothes

And headed to a park by Melissa's to celebrate the holiday

Michele's family

Melissa rented a bounce house that all the kids absolutely loved

Melissa also decorated the tables really cute in red, white, and blue.

Chelsey, Aaron, and Jacob playing a game with the blue marbles from the decorations :)

The yummy dessert table! We had loads of cupcakes. The lemon ones were so good and I had way too many of them :) Dani also made a really yummy strawberry and blueberry pie for those that didn't like cupcakes.

More playing in the bounce house

All the grand kids enjoying the food! Melissa made the yummiest homemade fried chicken and the best baked potato salad (no eggs..yea!) We also had a ton of salads, chips, and fruit. I made a strawberry and blueberry pretzel salad....yum!

Melissa's boys have a rip stick that all the kids (and Mike :) ) really enjoyed playing on and trying to figure out how to stay on it!

Chesley and Aubrey

Mike

So cute! Dani and Emma

Michele made me laugh

Which resulted in this :) I just love my mom's face here..she is like yes, this is my daughter Kami!

So of course then we had to take more funny pictures :)

Joey playing soccer with his cousins

Mike helping Emma on the rip stick

Joey pulling daddy

And now it's Joey's turn

The kids also had a fun time on their cousins scooters

And of course how can you end a picnic without having a water fight! In this case they were using ice cubes :)

David cheated and got into my mom's car (in the back of the picture) and my mom locked the doors and drove away. It was pretty funny!

We then headed to my mom's house and did fireworks

Love this picture! Joey and Joshua are really close in age. Too bad they don't live closer to each other

We had a really great 4th of July! It was nice to spend it with so much family!
