4th of July

This year on the 4th of July we continued our annual tradition of going to the Freedom Festival in Provo. We normally go on the 3rd because we would do a bbq at my parents and do fireworks on the 4th but Lee had to actually work at the Freedom Festival for IKEA that day so my mom came to Provo and went to the festival with us. It was a lot of fun!

The kids in their cute 4th of July outfits

Eating lunch

Joey did really awesome at this game. The guy would drop the frisbee ring and you would have to try to put your arm in it. Joey got 2 out of 3 and received a prize

Dreyers was also giving out free ice cream. It was pretty awesome!

When we got home, Me and the kids made a fun jello marshmallow treat. They turned out pretty yummy. You dip jumbo marshmallows into water and then into jello powder and refrigerate.

When Lee got off working he was going to meet us at our house for a bbq. I made this yummy jello parfait

And I made fruit kabobs in the shape of a flag

I also made mini cheesecakes with strawberries and blueberries on top. They were pretty yummy!

The bbq was fun and the food was yummy! After my parents left the kids played outside on their scooters until it got dark. I love this picture....she looks like a helpless child pleading to come inside :)

When it got dark we did sparklers. Because of all the fires there were only certain places you could do fireworks and sadly our neighborhood was not one of them :( The kids had fun doing sparklers though.

We ended the night by watching the fireworks show from the Stadium of Fire. We were able to watch it from the 3rd floor our apartment building.

All in all, it was a pretty good 4th!
