Father/Son Campout

So this last weekend was our ward's father/son campout. Joey was so excited to go camping with just him and daddy! He had been talking about it for about 3 weeks...everyday saying, "Me and daddy go camping...no girls, just boys..okay mommy!" It was too cute! We got him a Cars blowup bed that has a sleeping bag attached. When Mike and Joey were leaving on Saturday for home, Mike asked Joey what he liked best and he said, "My bed" :)

Me and Emma got to have a fun girls night. We made cookies and watched Little Mermaid. She helped me do some laundry and fold the clothes. She even took her own clothes to her room..she is growing up too fast! It was so cute because when we were sitting down to eat she looked up at me and said, "Joey go, Daddy go" and then every time she heard the 3 year old boy down below us she would say, "Joey home" She sure missed Joey..but she loved playing with his toys and him not saying anything about it! :)

I gave Mike the camera so our picture was taken with my camera phone. Mike did a great job taking pictures..he must know I like to blog! :)

They went for a little hike or "nature walk" and found this cute bird's nest on the ground. It's kind of hard to see but I liked this one because one of the bird's mouth is open.



Here they are getting ready for bed...Joey took the picture of Mike..I think he did a pretty good job!

So, it sounds like they had a blast and Joey wants to go camping again!
